Pre-Service Orientation
How Orientation Works
The Pre-Service Direct Care Worker Orientation is designed to help the direct care worker be successful at understanding their work, navigating the hiring process, and completing all of the requirements to begin working with their consumer as fast as possible, and how to understand their rights as a direct care worker.
When a participant in the self-directed model wants to hire a new direct care worker (DCW), many things must happen for that DCW to begin paid employment. Orientation is just one step - not necessarily the final step - before you are Good to Go:
PPL (Public Partnerships, LLC) or Tempus refers a new direct care worker to Frontline for orientation. PPL and Tempus are the fiscal management services that handle the payroll for direct care workers.
Frontline must receive information about the direct care worker who needs to attend the Pre-Service Direct Care Worker Orientation before we can schedule a session.
One of our enrollment specialists will reach out to you the same day we receive your information to guide you through the enrollment process. We offer many sessions, and are conducting all of our orientations via Zoom. For those unable to attend an online session, we will work with you to discuss an alternative method.
If you have questions regarding self-directed care or need tools that can help with your employment, wages, industry news, or career opportunities,
